Archives and Epistolar exchanges

The library also preserves archive materials like:

 

Arrigo Boito’s Letters, acquired from the Cultural heritage Ministry by Luigi Albertini, collect, together with other documents, 440 letters written by famous artists of the XIX and XX century;

 

Sampieri’s Letters, acquired from the Cultural heritage Ministry, collect 650 letters from various senders to the marquise Francesco Sampieri;

 

Documents of the Royal Music School, collect in 3 volumes letters and documents, among which

Boito, Paganini, Rolla, Puccini, Toscanini’s ones;

 

Usiglio Collection, donated by the widow in 1910, collects the documentary material about Emilio Usiglio and it’s made of 1829 items;

 

Verdi-Ricordi Epistolar exchange, acquired from the Cultural heritage Ministry in 1980, has been published by the Istituto di Studi Verdiani;

 

Camani Collection, acquired by the library, collects 53 letters and postcards of famous musicians of the XIX and XX centuries.

 

Other collections (among which the Sacconi collection and the Dacci collection) are in reconnaissance progress.
